Brazilian Artists Exhibit at Artexpo NY

Monã – Acrylic on Canvas – Clara Piquet

The Artexpo NY took place April 4-7 in New York, featured works by renowned Brazilian artists, several of them immigrants living in the United States with names already respected in the International and artistic and cultural universe. With intense cultural background in the United States, having participated in important exhibition events, painters, photographers and graphic designers such as Clara Piquet, Cecília Thibes, Fernanda Dabus, Brunella Costa, Monica Mendes, Maria Lúcia Fontainha, Fabi Cunha, Karen Venturelli, Olivier Lutaud and Jael Klein Coaracy attended the New York art trade show, which brings together both young and renowned artists, as well as a myriad of admirers, buyers and collectors. These artists are part of the non profit organization Atelier Without Borders (www.atelierwithoutborders.org), a group of talented artists who have decided to unite art and a social inclusion movement in deprived areas of Brazil, where populations of vulnerable children and young people can resume the path to a more dignified life through the discovery of their artistic potential.
