Coloring Lives at the Favela do Vidigal, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
November, 2017

Located between Leblon and São Conrado neighborhoods and with a gorgeous view of the ocean, the Vidigal favela was pacified in 2011 and is now considered to be the friendliest and most cultural favela in Rio. It continues though to be the home of very poor households and its security is affected by the violent dispute for the control of drug traffic in neighboring favelas.

This event took place thanks to the initiative of Atelier’s members and friends, Monica Pessoa, Monica Mendes, Jade Matarazzo and with the partnership with the  Todos na Luta Institute based in Vidigal.
